If you are first time parents, you may be working on the trial and error method with your child when it comes to parenting. While the diaper phase may now be over, and you think you have come out of the most difficult part, you may want to make sure that your child remains healthy throughout his life and stays as away from diseases as possible.
Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and should be incorporated in the routine since childhood to make sure that your child stays healthy to take on any challenges and opportunities in life. With work taking up most of the time of your day, you may not be able to find time to spend with your child, let alone focus on their health. In that case, maybe working out with your child is a great option. Here is a workout that you can do with your child to make sure both you and him/her are healthy and fit.
Planking can help improve digestion, increase metabolism, and improve the strength of the core muscles, arms, and legs. A minute of planking is good enough for you and 30 seconds is more than enough for your child. Make the exercise fun by counting with your child or playing around.
Push-ups again help in making the body stronger and healthier by improving digestion and strengthening muscles. A set of 10 pushups at a stretch is good for your child and the activity can be made fun. Your child can sit on your back while you do pushups, and you can sing the counts for each other when the other one is doing the exercise.
Leg raises are an easy exercise and can be really fun for your little one. Just lie down on the floor on your back, and lift one leg at a time, bringing it back to the original position while lifting the other one. Perform the exercise in sets. Sing a song or jingle with your child to make this more fun.
